Why Every Price Says "From"
Two clients can book the same balayage and leave having had genuinely different services. Hair that falls past the shoulder takes more product and more sectioning time. Hair that has been coloured at home for years needs more careful lifting to reach the same tone. Hair that has never been processed lifts faster and cleaner.
Rather than publish one price and add surcharges at the till, we publish the starting point and confirm the exact figure at your consultation — before anything is mixed. If the honest number is higher than the one that brought you in, you will hear it while you still have every option open, including walking away.

If you are considering a significant change — a first balayage, a big shade shift, keratin on hair you are unsure about — book a consultation rather than the service itself. It is complimentary, takes twenty minutes, and often saves both a wasted appointment and a result nobody wanted.
How Long Things Take
A cut and finish runs to about an hour. Root colour with a gloss is around two. A full-head balayage with toner and a proper blow-dry is a three to four hour appointment, and keratin smoothening is a similar commitment. Facials are booked in 45, 60 or 90 minute blocks depending on the ritual.
We would rather tell you a service takes an afternoon than squeeze it into ninety minutes and hand you a compromise. When our concierge calls to confirm, she will give you the realistic duration so you can plan the rest of your day around it.
Looking After The Result
Colour holds longest on hair washed with a sulphate-free cleanser in water that is warm rather than hot. Keratin needs 48 hours untouched before its first wash. Facial results build over a course rather than a single visit, which is why we suggest a cycle of three to four weeks rather than a one-off.
Your artist will send you away knowing exactly which two or three habits matter most for your particular service. We would rather give you three you will actually keep than a routine of ten you will abandon by the second week.

How do I choose between balayage, highlights and a global colour?
Balayage is hand-painted freehand, so it grows out softly and needs refreshing roughly every three to four months — the lowest-maintenance option and the most natural-looking in daylight. Foil highlights give a more uniform, structured lift and suit anyone who wants brightness right at the root, but they need attention every eight to ten weeks.
A global colour changes the base shade entirely and is the right answer for full grey coverage or a decisive shade change. If you are unsure, book a consultation rather than a service — it costs nothing and we would rather plan it properly.
Will lightening damage my hair?
Any lightening opens the cuticle, so the honest answer is that it always has a cost. What decides the outcome is how far we push it in one sitting and what we put back in afterwards.
We work in stages for significant changes, use bond-building systems throughout, and will tell you plainly if the hair in front of us cannot safely reach the shade you have in mind today. We would rather take three appointments to get you there intact than one to get you there damaged.
How long does keratin smoothening last?
Between three and six months, depending on hair texture, how often you wash, and whether you use a sulphate-free shampoo afterwards. Fine hair tends to hold it slightly longer than very coarse or highly porous hair.
Avoid washing for the first 48 hours and switch to a sulphate-free cleanser — those two habits alone typically add six to eight weeks to the result.
When should I book my bridal trial?
Roughly three months before the wedding for the first trial, and one month out for the final one. That gives room to adjust without leaving changes so late that skin has no time to settle.
Book the date itself as far ahead as you can — bridal slots for Saturdays in summer are often taken six to nine months in advance.
Do you offer a patch test for colour?
Yes, and it is required at least 48 hours before any colour service if you have not visited us within the last six months. It takes two minutes and can be done as a walk-in during studio hours.
This is a safety requirement rather than a formality — reactions to colour are rare but genuinely serious, and we do not make exceptions.
Can I come in during pregnancy?
Absolutely, and many of our clients do. Cutting, styling, manicures and most facials are entirely unaffected.
For colour we tend to favour off-scalp techniques such as balayage, and we will avoid certain strong actives and essential oils in facials and massage. Tell your artist how far along you are and she will adapt the plan without you having to ask.
