We keep a genuine range of facials rather than one house treatment, because congested skin, dehydrated skin and skin that's just tired from a bad week need different things. Dermalogica Pro 60 is our most-booked all-rounder; the 24ct gold facial is the one clients book before a big occasion.

If you're not sure which one is right, say so when you book. Our therapists would rather spend two minutes on the phone steering you to the right facial than have you pay for the wrong one.

Choosing Between Our Facials

The Dermalogica Pro 60 at £45 is our most-booked treatment and the right default if you are not sure — a genuine hour with proper extraction and mask time built in. The £28 express version condenses the same core cleanse and treatment steps for when you are short on time, though it drops most of the extraction.

Kaeso at £30 and Strictly Professional at £32 are what we reach for with reactive or sensitive skin. The Herbal Ayurvedic facial at £35 is the gentlest of the range. The 24ct Gold facial at £58 is the occasion treatment — it is what people book the week before a wedding or a significant event.

Preparing For Your Appointment

Pause retinoids, strong acids and prescription treatments for 48 hours beforehand. They leave skin far more reactive to exfoliation and extraction, and stopping them for two days means your therapist can work at full strength rather than holding back. This is the single most common reason a well-performed facial produces irritation.

Tell us about any recent injectables, sunburn or new medication when you book. All three change what is appropriate on the day, and it is much better to adjust the plan in advance than to discover it in the room.

Afterwards, And How Often

Leave the skin alone for two days — no acids, no scrubs, no new products — and skip the sauna and heavy exercise on the day itself. Heat and sweat on freshly extracted skin is the most reliable way to provoke exactly the breakout the facial was meant to prevent.

Skin turns over roughly every four weeks, so a cycle of three to four weeks is where results genuinely compound. One facial before an event will leave you looking rested and glowing; it will not resolve pigmentation, texture or persistent congestion, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling rather than treating.

What Happens In The Room

Every facial opens with a double cleanse and a close reading of your skin under magnification. That reading decides everything after it — a congested T-zone and dehydrated, sensitised skin need genuinely different treatments, and a plan drawn up from what your skin was doing three months ago is a plan for somebody else.

Exfoliation is matched to that reading rather than applied at a fixed strength, extraction happens only where congestion will actually benefit, and the mask and massage are chosen to address the concern you came in with. The order is not decorative: each step prepares the skin for the next, which is exactly what gets lost when a facial is compressed into half the time.

Every treatment finishes with a broad-spectrum SPF regardless of the weather. Freshly exfoliated skin is temporarily more vulnerable to UV, and skipping it on a grey November afternoon undoes a meaningful part of what the appointment achieved.
