What You Are Looking At
Every photograph here was taken in our own studios, of work by our own artists, and shared with the client's permission.
No Stock, No Heavy Retouching
It would be easy to fill a salon gallery with licensed photography of models nobody here has ever met. We do not, because a gallery is the main thing people book from, and a gallery that flatters the work misleads the person reading it.
These images are corrected for exposure and colour balance so a phone photograph under studio lighting reads the way the room actually looked. Hair texture, skin texture and colour are left alone. If a result has a little flyaway or a freckle, it stays in.
Two Galleries, Deliberately
The Ladies' and Gentlemen's galleries are kept separate for the same reason the studios are. Grooming work and salon work are photographed differently, judged differently, and browsed by people looking for very different things. Merging them would make both harder to read.
Bring A Reference — Please
A photograph communicates in five seconds what takes five minutes to describe, and it removes most of the risk of a genuine misunderstanding. If something in these galleries is close to what you have in mind, screenshot it and bring it in.
Bring more than one if you can. Two or three images that share a common thread tell your artist far more than a single perfect picture, because the thread is usually the thing you actually want.
And Expect An Honest Answer
Starting colour, hair density, face shape and how you wear your hair day to day all change how a look sits. Your artist will tell you before starting which parts of a reference will work on you, which need adapting, and which would take more than one appointment to reach safely.
That conversation is the whole difference between a result you like in the mirror and one you still like a fortnight later.
Gallery Questions
Are these photographs of real clients?
Yes. Every image in these galleries was taken in our own studios, of work done by our own artists, and shared with the client's permission. Nothing here is stock photography.
We do not retouch hair, skin texture or colour in these images beyond basic exposure correction, because a gallery that flatters the work misleads the person booking from it.
Can I bring a photo of a look I want?
Please do — it is genuinely the most useful thing you can bring. A photograph communicates in five seconds what takes five minutes to describe, and it removes most of the risk of a misunderstanding.
Bring more than one if you can, and be ready for an honest conversation about what your own hair texture, length and colour history will let us achieve today versus over a few appointments.
Will my result look exactly like the gallery?
Close, but never identical, and that is the point. Starting colour, hair density, face shape and how you wear your hair day to day all change how a look sits.
Your artist will tell you before starting which parts of a reference are achievable on you and which need adapting. That conversation is what makes the difference between a result you like in the mirror and one you like a fortnight later.
Do you photograph every client?
No, and we never photograph anyone without asking first. If an artist is pleased with a result they will ask, and you are entirely free to say no — it has no bearing on anything.
If you have previously agreed and would like an image removed, email the studio and it will come down the same day.
