After You Send It

What Happens Next

A request is the start of a conversation, not an automated slot grab. Here is exactly how it proceeds from the moment you press send.

We Read It Properly

Your request reaches our concierge rather than a queue. She reads the notes you left — hair history, sensitivities, the occasion — before she looks at the diary, because those details often change which artist is the right fit for you.

We Call You Back

You will hear from us within one working day, usually the same afternoon. This is a real conversation: we confirm timings, talk through what you are hoping for, and flag anything that may need a longer appointment than you expected.

We Hold The Chair

Once the details are agreed the slot is yours, and the artist is blocked out for its full duration. We never double-book a chair, which is why the diary is deliberately short and why confirmation is a phone call rather than a click.

You Arrive To Calm

Come five minutes early, take a seat, and let your artist begin with a consultation rather than a comb. Nothing chemical or irreversible starts until you have agreed both the plan and the price out loud.

Before You Come In

Preparing For Your Visit

None of this is compulsory, but each one gives your artist more to work with and gives you a better result on the day.

Colour & Chemical Work

Arrive With Day-Old Hair

Freshly washed hair strips the scalp of the natural oils that buffer it during colour and lightening services. Hair washed the day before is kinder on the scalp and holds tone more evenly. If you colour at home, bring the box or the shade number — knowing what is already on the hair changes what we can safely put on top of it.

Skin & Facials

Pause Actives For 48 Hours

Retinoids, strong acids and prescription treatments leave skin far more reactive to exfoliation and extraction. Stopping them two days beforehand means we can work at full strength rather than holding back. Do mention any recent injectables, sunburn or new medication, because all three change what is appropriate on the day.

Bridal & Occasion

Bring The Whole Picture

For a trial, bring your outfit's neckline or dupatta, the jewellery you intend to wear, and photographs of looks you love — and, just as usefully, one or two you do not. Makeup reads very differently against different fabrics and metals, so seeing them together saves an entire round of guesswork.

A Note On Patch Tests

If you are booking any colour service and have not visited us within the last six months, we are required to carry out a skin allergy test at least 48 hours beforehand. It takes two minutes, costs nothing, and can be done as a quick walk-in during studio hours. Please allow for it when choosing your date — we cannot proceed with colour without one, and we would far rather tell you now than turn you away on the day.

Access & Getting Here

The atelier sits on Landcross Drive with free on-street parking directly outside, and step-free access from the pavement through to reception, the styling floor and the ground-floor treatment room. If you have specific access requirements, mention them in your request and we will set aside the right room and the right amount of time for you.

Good To Know

Booking Questions

The things clients ask us most often before a first visit.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No deposit is taken for standard hair, skin, nail or grooming appointments — we hold the chair on trust. A 25% deposit is requested for bridal packages and for any booking over three hours, simply because those slots take an artist out of the diary for most of a day.

Deposits are deducted from the final bill and remain transferable if you move the date with more than seven days' notice.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us at least 24 hours if you need to cancel or move a standard appointment, and seven days for bridal work. Because we run one client per artist rather than overlapping chairs, a late cancellation usually cannot be refilled.

Life happens, and a first late cancellation is never charged. Repeated short-notice cancellations may mean we ask for a deposit on future bookings.

What if I am running late?

Call us as soon as you know. We hold your slot for 15 minutes and will always try to fit you in, but past that point the appointment may need to be shortened or moved so the client after you is not affected.

If you are late for a colour appointment we may need to reschedule entirely, since processing times cannot be safely compressed.

Can I request a specific artist?

Yes, and we encourage it. Mention the name in your booking notes and we will match the diary to their availability. If they are fully booked on your preferred date, our concierge will offer both their next opening and an equally qualified alternative, and let you decide which matters more — the date or the artist.

How long will my appointment take?

A cut and finish is around an hour; a full-head balayage with toner and styling is usually three to four hours; keratin smoothening runs to about three hours; a signature facial is 60 minutes. Bridal packages are booked by the half-day.

Our concierge confirms the realistic duration when she calls, so you can plan the rest of your day around it rather than guessing.

Do you take walk-ins?

We do not. Every chair is reserved in advance so that no one is rushed and no one waits, which is the whole basis of how the atelier is run. If you are nearby and hoping for something same-day, call the studio — occasionally a slot opens through a cancellation.

Is there parking, and is the studio accessible?

There is free on-street parking directly outside on Landcross Drive. The entrance, reception, main styling floor and one treatment room are all step-free.

If you need a ground-floor room, extra time, or a quieter part of the day, say so in your booking notes and we will arrange it without any fuss.

Can I bring my children?

Children are welcome in reception, though the studio is a quiet space by design and chemical services are not a safe environment for young children to wait in unsupervised. For longer colour or bridal appointments we would gently suggest arranging care, purely so that you can enjoy the time.
